Browser Calling & Call Forwarding

Answer calls in your browser, set up call forwarding, and understand the inbound call failover chain

Browser Calling

Browser Calling lets you and your team answer inbound calls directly in the SupaBook app from any web browser — no physical phone or softphone needed. When enabled, incoming calls ring all online team members in the browser first.

  1. Open My Account

Go to Settings → My Account.

  2. Enable Browser Calling

In the Browser Calling section, toggle it on. Allow microphone access when your browser prompts you.

  3. Stay online

Keep the SupaBook tab open to receive incoming calls. If you close the tab or go offline, calls skip to the next step in the failover chain.

Tips

  • Each team member must enable Browser Calling individually in their own My Account settings
  • If the browser does not ring, check that microphone permission is enabled (click the lock icon in the address bar)

Call Forwarding Number

The Call Forwarding Number is a personal phone (cell or landline) that rings when nobody answers via Browser Calling. This is set in the Browser Calling section of My Account — it is NOT the same as the Phone Number in Account Information.

  1. Open My Account

Go to Settings → My Account.

  2. Find Browser Calling section

Scroll down to the Browser Calling section.

  3. Enter your forwarding number

Type the phone number you want calls forwarded to (e.g. your cell phone). This number rings when Browser Calling goes unanswered.

  4. Save

    Click Save to apply.

Tips

  • The Account Information phone number is just your contact info — it is NOT used for call routing or forwarding
  • The Call Forwarding Number is the one that actually rings when calls are forwarded

Important notes

  • If you leave the forwarding number blank, unanswered Browser Calling calls skip straight to AI or voicemail

Inbound Call Failover Chain

When someone calls your SupaBook number, the system tries each step in order until one answers. The default failover order is:

  1. Browser Calling

Rings all online team members in the browser. If someone picks up, the call connects here.

  2. Call Forwarding

If nobody answers in the browser, the system dials the Call Forwarding Number from My Account → Browser Calling. The caller hears 'Please hold while we connect you.'

  3. AI Call Flow

If the forwarding number does not answer (or is not set), the call routes to the AI call flow assigned to that phone number.

  4. Voicemail

If no AI call flow is configured, the caller hears a voicemail prompt and can leave a message.

Tips

  • You can customize the failover order per phone number in Phone Number Settings
  • If the AI Schedule is set to Never, AI is skipped entirely — calls go Browser Calling → Call Forwarding → Voicemail
  • If you want calls to go straight to AI without ringing anyone, remove Browser Calling and Call Forwarding from the failover order
  • Forwarded calls use voice credits at the base rate (lower than AI calls since no AI engine is involved). Browser Calling (answering in the app) does not use credits
