Billing & Subscription
Manage your subscription, voice credits, and SMS credits
5 min. Updated 2026-03-21.
Core Subscription (Settings → Company → Membership)
Your SupaBook subscription plan is managed in Settings under the Company tab. This is where you view your plan, upgrade/downgrade, manage payment methods, and access billing invoices.
Go to Settings
Click the Settings gear icon in the sidebar.
Open the Company tab
Click the Company tab at the top of the Settings page.
Click Membership in the left sidebar
This shows your current plan, subscription status, and billing details. Only the studio owner can access this section.
View your current plan
See your plan name, monthly/annual price, subscription status, and renewal date. Expand Compare all features to compare Essentials, Core, AI, and AI Pro using current catalog prices and paid allowances for users, phone numbers, voice, SMS, AI, and client workflows. Core, AI, and AI Pro are billed monthly; Essentials also offers annual billing. Native iOS shows Essentials with localized App Store pricing. Trial allowances may be lower. The public Pricing page uses the same comparison. Read feature descriptions for connected calendars, Super File workflows, deposits, phone activation, AI approvals, and import limits. The notes below the table explain extra usage charges, Apple Messages approval, and optional implementation services.
Upgrade or change plan
On web, choose Essentials, Core, AI, or AI Pro and review the billing change before confirming. Native iOS shows localized App Store prices for Essentials, and Apple confirms eligible offers. Keep managing your subscription through its original billing provider. Expand Your plan allowances in Membership to see current limits. Core has no active AI employees, AI supports up to 5, and AI Pro supports up to 10. Downgrades preserve and pause unsupported configurations; re-upgrading restores eligible configurations without replaying held work.
View invoices and receipts
Scroll down to see your billing history. Each invoice shows the amount, date, category (Plan, Phone, Voice, SMS), and status. Click to download PDF receipts for your records.
Tips
- Upgrade anytime — you'll be prorated for the remaining period
- Download invoices for your business tax records
- Your billing history shows all charges across subscription, phone numbers, voice credits, and SMS credits
Phone & SMS Billing (Billing & Credits)
Voice call credits and SMS credits are managed separately from your core subscription. These are pay-as-you-go credits that fund your AI voice calls and text messages.
Click Billing & Credits in the sidebar
This opens the Communications Billing dashboard with two main tabs: Voice Credits and SMS Credits.
Voice Credits — Plan & Limits tab
View your current voice credit balance (in dollars and minutes), usage stats, and subscription tier. Upgrade options are available here.
Voice Credits — Purchase Credits tab
Buy additional voice credits via Stripe. View your credit purchase transaction history.
Voice Credits — Billing Settings tab
Enable auto-recharge to automatically top up credits when your balance drops below a set threshold. Configure the recharge amount and threshold.
SMS Credits tab
Switch to the SMS Credits tab to purchase SMS credits and view SMS transaction history. SMS credits are separate from voice credits.
Tips
- Standard voice starts at $0.15/min on Flex and Pro, $0.13/min on Business, and $0.10/min on Enterprise. Premium voice starts at $0.35/min on Flex and Pro, $0.33/min on Business, and $0.30/min on Enterprise.
- Enable auto-recharge for voice credits so your AI agents never go offline due to empty balance
- SMS credits are separate from voice credits — check both if you use both features
- Voice and SMS credit purchases also appear in your Membership invoice history
How Credits Are Charged (Quick Rules)
Credits make it easy to understand usage without worrying about carrier math. We charge credits at send time for outgoing messages and during connected call time for voice.
Voice credits
Voice is billed by connected call time and prorated to the second. If the AI never connects (e.g., ring-only), it is not billed as call time.
SMS credits (segments)
SMS is billed by segments. Most English messages are 1 segment, but longer messages use multiple segments. Unicode messages (emoji / non‑Latin) use smaller segment sizes and can cost more segments.
MMS credits (attachments)
MMS messages include a base credit cost plus 1 credit per attachment. Use MMS when you need media; otherwise SMS is the lowest-cost option.
When credits are deducted
Credits are deducted when a message is successfully submitted for sending. If a send fails before submission, credits are not deducted.
Tips
- Keep message templates short to reduce segments
- If you use emojis in automations, test once and watch the segment count
- Use links instead of long addresses when possible
Important notes
- SMS and Voice credits are separate balances
- SMS sending is currently supported for US and Canada destinations only
- Carrier filtering and delivery rules vary by destination and compliance status
