AI SMS Lead Capture From Missed Calls

Capture lead details over text after missed calls, create CRM leads automatically, and send package emails with workflow conditions.

How It Works

When a call is missed, the Missed Call Text Back automation starts an explicit AI SMS capture session. The AI asks for name, email, and a short project summary, then creates a lead with source_type set to ai_sms_capture.

Tips

  • AI capture only runs for conversations with an active missed-call capture session.
  • STOP, HELP, and START compliance messages still use the normal compliance path and do not trigger AI capture.

Set Up Missed Call AI Capture

Use the default missed-call automation plus AI Settings to enable capture studio-wide.

  1. Enable the missed-call workflow

    Go to Workflows and activate Missed Call Text Back so unanswered calls send the lead-capture text.

  2. Enable AI SMS capture

    Open Settings -> AI Settings and turn on AI SMS Lead Capture.

  3. Optional prompt override

    Set SMS Capture Prompt Override if you want custom tone/instructions for follow-up questions.

Send Packages Email Only For SMS-Captured Leads

Use the existing Send Email node and filter by lead source type.

  1. Install the template

    Use the SMS Lead Capture -> Send Packages Email template in Workflows.

  2. Set condition

    In the condition node, set field source_type, operator equals, value ai_sms_capture.

  3. Configure email

    In Send Email, pick your package/pricing email template and activate the workflow.

Important notes

  • Do not remove the source_type filter unless you want this email to send for all new leads.
